A mutual fund is a collection of money, pooled together by all of its investors, used to purchase specific types of securities. The investments within the mutual fund are decided by investment professionals who run the mutual fund. The professional picks among a wide variety of stocks, bonds, money market instruments, or other financial choices.

Green Mutual Funds are funds that invest in companies that are good for the environment. Typically these companies either are engaged directly in assisting the environment, innovative recycling, waste management, or asbestos removal companies. Or, they have clean, sustainable, Green business models, meaning that their processes are not environmentally harmful

These Green funds have been gaining popularity recently as more and more investors are starting to think about the environment. Expectations of global warming and increasing rates of natural disasters are pretty scary, and many believe that if we don’t start taking care of the environment, our planet may not be a very nice place in the near future.

Green Energy mutual funds have interesting possibilities. Today, alternative Energy is where it’s at. The thing is, it’s not quite the time to go Green with alternatives yet. Most of these things such as wind energy, solar energy, fuel cells, etc. are still in their developmental stage. That means that things are expensive and they’re not particularly profitable.

If you decide to dabble in a mutual fund investing, you will be faced with a slight challenge, which mutual fund do I choose? A great way to start is by researching different funds’ past performance records and future goals. Along with this you can also consider what fees the mutual fund charges, it is usually a good idea to go with a fund that offers a lower expense ratio and to avoid funds with additional sales charges.

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind Book

The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind book promises a lot, and if you’re like me, you’re probably starting out feeling skeptical about its ability to deliver. After all, T. Harv Eker says that with five minutes, he can predict a person’s lifetime financial future! However, closer examination of the book and what it has to offer could make a big difference.

Every one of us has certain attitudes about success and money, which can push us forward to success or hold us back. That’s pretty much the biggest thing that Secrets of the Millionaire Mind can teach us. Each one of us has our own internal money blueprint, which decides how our financial stories progress and how we act towards money.

That means that even with my knowledge of stocks, sales, finances, real estate and marketing, if I don’t have the right internal blueprint for success, I won’t ever reach my personal peak. The good news is that every one of us can change our blueprints about money into ones that are better at making us successful. That’s what Secrets of the Millionaire Mind can tell us – how to reset those blueprints.

We’ve all been programmed to either be poor or rich, and most of us have the programming that makes us poor. On the other hand, I recently managed to make a big change in how I think about money, and you can, too. If you want to be a millionaire, you first have to think like one.

This book will spend a lot of time talking about the financial blueprint and telling us what we think about money and why we think this way. However, the metaphor of the blueprint isn’t allowed to obscure the truth of the message. By ourselves, it’s hard to see what’s holding us back from success, which is why checking out Secrets of a Millionaire Mind can help.

This process might seem like it takes a long time, but the reality is that changes are going on each and every time we open up the book. You’ll see results right away, even though the journey to success is a bit longer. This million dollar advice is available for a lot less.

Not sure if you should take a look at Secrets of the Millionaire Mind to see what it can do for you? Well, if you’re not willing to deal with having your mind changed, thinking about things in a while new way, and the mental discomfort that comes with being told you’ve been wrong, stay away. It takes dedication and endurance to learn a whole new way of thinking about money.

On the other hand, anyone who’s determined to succeed should definitely give this book a few moments. It’s not just one affirmation after the other – many of the things it has to say are quite uncomfortable to hear. However, you’ll know they’re true once you hear them, and get ready to change the internal money blueprint that’s been blocking your way to success.

If it was possible for me to change my mind about finances, you can too. This Millionaire Mind Book could be the perfect path to financial success. Find out what Secrets of the Millionaire Mind can offer you, and get started on the road to financial fulfillment.

Risk tolerance is critical for online stock market investing. When you’re just beginning to invest in the stock market, you’ll discover that each person has a risk tolerance that should be honored and taken into account. A professional financial planner worth his salt must understand this so he can help you determine your risk tolerance. Then, that person needs to help you ascertain which investments don’t exceed that risk level.

Many people think that risk tolerance is related only to your emotional reaction to investing. That’s just not true. There is a lot involved in deciding the elements that affect risk tolerance for you, and emotions aren’t the only factors involved.

Ascertaining your own risk tolerance, with regards to stock market investing advice, requires awareness of multiple factors. One is that you have to know how much money you have available to invest, and the other is your thorough awareness of your financial end game. For example, if you plan to take retirement in 12 years and you haven’t saved anything towards that, you’ll need a substantial risk tolerance and do some hardcore investing to have plenty of savings to retire when you want to.

As a contrast, if you begin investing for your retirement in your early twenties, your stock market investing advice risk tolerance will be low. Developing the saving habit early will allow you to grow your money in a leisurely fashion. When you combine this with what you know about your emotional reaction to investing, the proper investment recipe for you will be revealed. It’s hard to ascertain this for yourself, so experts recommend that people use a good professional who can expertly assess you risk tolerance and assist you with investing for retirement.

Knowing your risk tolerance will help you establish an investment style and allow you and the investment professional you choose to invest with confidence. In spite of their being multiple investment vehicles only three investment styles exist – and those styles are directly related to your personal risk tolerance. Those three styles are called aggressive, moderate and conservative. But I will save the clarification of those for another article. Those will be explained in a future editorial.

by John Border

As a new entrant into the stock market you will keep hearing about the terms NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ and more of the international ones nowadays like HangSeng or the LSE or even the Luxembourg stock exchange.

These are stock exchanges where the exchange of stocks takes place between the buyers and the sellers. In effect these are the actual stock markets but the term stock market is used in a broader term to signify the overall stock holdings, indices, exchanges and everything else related to stocks.

New York Stock Exchange started in 1792 and is located at the epitome of the US financial icon street called the Wall Street. It is undoubtedly one of the largest exchanges in the country. All the companies aspire to be listed here so there shares can be traded on this exchange but before a company can be listed here they have to complete certain set of criteria in terms of financial strength as well as the industry they operate in.

For trading at NYSE you need to be either a registered broker with NYSE or you need to have an arrangement with an entity who is a registered broker at NYSE. It is not an easy thing to become a broker at NYSE and it costs a huge amount of money may be say a million dollars.

Similar to NYSE is American stock exchange which is again in the financial district of the country called New York. The American exchange has stocks for trading but also has options for trading. The AMEX can trade smaller companies than traded in NYSE and hence it is attractive to a lot of companies.

Another exchange which is relative newcomer is the NASDAQ. It started its operation in 1971 and has grown tremendously in size as well as the number of companies listed here. Initially it attrcated only technology companies with the likes of Microsoft and Intel. This exchange has no floor based trading and all trading is done through screen based trading only.

If you are international investor there are stock exchanges apart from America in other countries which you will keep hearing like the Bombay Stock Exchange, Hong Kong Stock Exchange or Hang Seng, Luxembourg stock Exchange or even the FTSE.

You should know enough about the exchanges to trade effectively and make good money.

by M Taylor

Imagine this scenario – you have received a windfall of $25,000, and you know you should invest for the future. Before you sign up and sign away that money, ask yourself this question – if you’re living paycheck to paycheck with high interest credit card companies hounding you via letter, telephone and via ninja agents pounding on your door, is it a good time to start investing? The answer is obvious, “Of course not!”

However, that’s exactly what some people will do mistakenly thinking that a 3-5% interest rate from investments is enormous while their credit cards bill them 9-18% plus finance and late charges.

First, get your latest credit report. You should, in reality, do this once a year. It’s very important to read your credit report, find out what’s on it, and clean up any negative items on the report as quickly as possible.

However, if you are in $25,000 worth of debt, it may serve you better to clean up your problems using that $25,000 instead of investing and maintaining that debt.

Many people make a priority mistake when they decide to invest. In order to avoid that, see which are paying out on a monthly basis, look at all the dispersal’s and get rid of the expenses that are frivolous.

Let’s take an example of one thing you might be able to get rid. If you have credit cards with all that high interest, pay them off and get rid of them. Pay off all those high interest loans along with those credit cards as quickly as you can, then refinance any high interest loans that are left, and replace them with loans that are billed at a lower interest rate. In the long run it will make better sense to pay down debt, and you will see over time that this is the wisest course of action.

Once your financial status is good then enhance your monies with sound investments for the future. It now makes little sense to invest your money. When your bank balance is bad or problematic, or if you’re living from paycheck to paycheck and paying bills is a struggle, that is not the time to think about tying up your cash. Investing your dollars in rectifying your adverse financial issues first would make better sense.

Here’s a secret: Investing doesn’t make sense if your bank balance is shaky to disastrous, if your monthly bills are a constant struggle and you feel like you can’t breathe out without hearing from a collection agency. Investing your dollars in rectifying your adverse financial issues first makes better sense and you’ll sleep better at night. Progressing towards financial solvency will also give you time to educate yourself on the different types of investments available. In this way, when you found yourself financially sound once again, you will be prepared to make good investments for your future.

There are a lot of promises here, and you might start out feeling skeptical about this book’s ability to deliver on them – I know I did. T. Harv Eker claims that in just five minutes, he can predict your financial future for a lifetime! However, if you pay more attention to the book and what it has to say, it could make a huge difference in your opinion.

Every one of us has certain attitudes about success and money, which can push us forward to success or hold us back. That’s pretty much the biggest thing that Secrets of the Millionaire Mind can teach us. Each one of us has our own internal money blueprint, which decides how our financial stories progress and how we act towards money.

This means that even with the knowledge I have about stocks, finances, sales, marketing and real estate, without the right money blueprint, I’ll have a lot more trouble succeeding. The good news is that every one of us can change our internal money blueprint to one that can make us a lot more successful. That’s what Secrets of the Millionaire Mind can do for us – teach us to fix our blueprints.

We’ve been programmed to either be rich or poor, and for most of us, that programming has caused us to be poor. However, I’ve managed to change the way I think about money recently, and so can you. If you want to be a millionaire, first you have to think like a millionaire.

This book spends a great deal of time talking about our financial blueprint, telling us what we believe about money and why. However, you shouldn’t worry that the blueprint metaphor gets in the way of the real message. It can be hard to see what’s keeping us back, and checking out Secrets of the Millionaire Mind can be a big help.

The process might seem long and slow, but changes are actually going on each time we open up the book. Results start happening right away, even if the journey to success takes a little longer. This is million dollar advice, but thankfully, it doesn’t cost that much.

Should you check out Secrets of the Millionaire Mind and see what it can do for you? That depends – there are probably some people out there who shouldn’t read this book. Anyone who’s not willing to deal with the discomfort of having their mind changed and thinking about money in a whole new way should definitely steer clear; after all, it takes some dedication to learn a new way of thinking.

However, if you’re determined to succeed, this is the book for you. Changing your mind won’t be one series of affirmations after another – you’ll probably find some of the things you learn downright uncomfortable to hear. However, once you hear them, you’ll know that they’re true, and your internal money blueprint has been holding you back.

If I could change my mind about finances, so can you, and Secrets of the Millionaire Mind might be the perfect way for you to do it. See what this book can offer, and start on your road to success.
